Utility Billing
This AIoT-based billing system handles water, electricity and gas billing for stratified property management bodies, JMBs, student and factory hostels, and commercial leasing environments. It works with smart meters for automatic readings, and supports manual entry and self-service prepaid top-ups. Staff can scan and enter meter readings via an app, select specific units, and the system calculates charges based on tiered rates. Bills go out to customers by email with PDF attachments. Customers can access their bills online, compare their monthly usage, and view past bills and payment receipts. Note that remotely cutting or restoring the physical water or electricity supply is not a feature of this module today; the cutoff setting it uses is a billing cutoff date, not a physical supply control.
A single meter reading is all an operator keys
Consumption, the tariff blocks, the sewerage flat rate, the rounding and the invoice are all arithmetic the system owns. Change the reading on the meter below and watch the whole chain move.
1Reading
The IoT meter reports on its own. Manual and estimated readings exist for risers with no signal, and the app captures a photo of the dial against the reading.
2Tariff
The block table sits here. Capture a reading and the consumption is poured through it, block by block.
3Bill
No invoice yet. Nothing is raised until a reading clears the abnormal usage check.

Emailed with the PDF attached, payable on the bill itself by FPX, card or e-Wallet. The resident can open every past bill and receipt, and compare this month against the last six.
On a prepaid unit the same reading draws the balance down instead, with a low balance alert and optional auto top-up.
Held, abnormal usage
118.9 m³ against a six month average of 21.4 m³.
No invoice was raised and nothing was sent to the resident. The reading is parked for a plumber to check the riser for a leak or a faulty meter. Billing the figure first and arguing later is how a management office loses a year of goodwill.
