Mictron 8 Main System
Mictron 8 is a microprocessor-based conventional fireman intercom system. It consists of a system status panel for selection of calling Remote Fireman Intercom Stations (RFIS).
The master handset is used to communicate with the RFIS.
The intercom status panel consists of LED display showing locations of RFIS. All wiring of the RFIS is terminated at the main panel.

Remote Fireman Intercom Station (RFIS)
The Remote Fireman Intercom Stations (RFIS) are located at strategic locations, such as: escape staircases, lift lobbies and mechanical rooms. They are used by authorized personnals during an emergency.
There are 2 types of RFIS :

Mictron 800 Main System
This is the Main Fireman Intercom Panel (MFIP), it consists of 3 parts:
- The LED Intercom Status Panel showing all the Remote Fireman Intercom Stations locations.
- The Master Handset Panel for communicating with the Remote Fireman Intercom Stations
- The Keyboard/Trouble Indication Panel for selecting a Remote Fireman Intercom Stations for 2-ways communication.

Remote Telephone Terminal Unit (RTTU)
This is a distributed data gathering panel. All the external Remote Fireman Intercom Stations (RFIS) are connected to the RTTU.
A standard Mictron 800 system consists of 2 buses. Each bus can interface up to 32 RTTU.
Each RTTU can interface up to 10 Remote Fireman Intercom Stations (RFIS) or Fireman Intercom Phone Jack Stations.

M800-SFIP
The sub-panel (Sub Fireman Intercom Panel) can be part of main system, but located away from the main panel, it has the RTTU connected to it and all the zone information are repeated at the main panel. The master handset in main panel can communicate with any of the Remote Fireman Intercom Stations (RFIS) in the sub-panel.
M800-Mimic
The multi-colour mimic panel consists of all floor plans and section of the building on perspex sheet, the LEDs on mimic floor plans will indicate the location of each Intercom zone.
M800-PC-R1
The PC based user interface running on MS windows is used to display all zone information & floor plans on the screen.
M800-REP-R2
The Repeater is also part of the main system, it can be a full repeater or just a simple panel for the master handsets in different control room to communicate with each other.
M800-Link-R3
The RS232 linking is provided for communicating with other building services system.
