Face Recognition Mode

Choose between Simple mode for quick operation or Advanced mode for enhanced security with multi-angle enrollment and liveness detection.

Simple Mode

Registration captures 1 face photo (front view only). Verification and member search by face do not require head tilt liveness check. Faster and easier to use.

Advanced Mode

Registration captures 5 face angles (front, left, right, up, down). Verification and member search require a random head tilt liveness challenge. More secure against spoofing.

Face Recognition Settings

Adjust how strict the face recognition engine behaves. Lower distance = stricter (fewer false positives but may reject valid faces). Higher distance = more lenient (easier to match but may accept wrong faces).

Used when verifying a member's identity or scanning to find a member. Default: 0.55

How it works

The face recognition engine computes a Euclidean distance between two face descriptors. A distance of 0.0 means an identical match. A distance above the threshold means "not the same person". Typical same-person distances range from 0.20 to 0.45. Different people usually score above 0.50.
